This morning I met Myles Brown and a friend at Ponchatoula High. Myles had commented a few weeks ago that he had trained at an Obstacle course and I asked if I could join him the next time he did it. The course is maintained by the Jr. ROTC program at the school. This morning we met Adam Sibley and Chris Schilling who took us through several rounds on this Military style obstacle course. Please take a look at the video I just posted when it's approved. It shows Adam and Chris demonstrating to us newbies how to do this course properly. This is just the first half of the course. Adam described the course as a confidence building course and he was right. By the third round, we were able to do things a lot better than the first walk through. You've seen this kind of course on countless movies and probably never thought much about it. But when it's your turn to make a jump or climb a rope, you kind of wish you were in a movie. I have a whole new respect for Private Benjamin. RIght now I feel bruises and a few scrapes which makes me realize that I'm never in shape for everything. If you want a new and different body toughening workout, talk to Myles about when you could try this mind opening course. Myles has trained several times on this now and I was impressed with how he flew around the course with ease. But I know it wasn't easy. At the very end, we had group pushups and a prayer. Thanks for the great morning Myles.
